Well this is goodbye. Tomorrow the adventure begins. One which I embark upon with very mixed feelings. Its not easy leaving the security of my home and my people. It's not easy having to give up eastenders never knowing who killed Archie! But as the self help book bought for me by my work colleagues wisely says "Feel the fear and do it anyway!" which is going to be my motto for this whole trip I think.
I am nearly packed, complete with half the stock of Boots in preparation for every medical eventuality from ringworm to malaria. I have tried to be mildly more organised in my approach this time. I daresay I will manage to shed many of the items in my luggage around the Gambia. Thanks to everyone for your words of encouragement and all your travel themed gifts. I will keep you all updated.
